Creating a lunar colony

by Niklas Järvstråt, an op-ed in Space-News, 1999.

What do you mean by 'outside' in a lunar colony?

by Niklas Järvstråt, in Moon-Miners Manifesto, 2000.

The concept of "outside" will not be the lunar surface for initial colonists, but rather the green interior of underground domes specifically designed for combined agriculture and recreation.

Lunar colonisation: Why, how and when

by Niklas Järvstråt, in AdAstra, 2002.

The first step for mankind towards space was when trained astronauts made the first footprints on lunar soil. Since then, a lot has been learnt from those brief excursions in space and on the lunar surface. Now,the time is ready for the next step - when ordinary people to move out in space to live there. The nearest source of construction materials is the moon - and everything we need is available there, from energy to the raw materials needed for a prospering colony.
Let us go there to stay!
